A Letter from the Rev. Cheryl Brainard
Dear Friends of St James,
Don and I cannot express in words the heartfelt gratitude for the extremely generous gifts we were presented with at the parish picnic. We were deeply moved by your generosity and kindness, and the outpouring of your love and support will always remind us of the wonderful memories and friendships we made during our time at St James.
The painting of the south side of St James will find a special place in our home and the generous purse went a long way to help with moving expenses. I was truly overwhelmed, and it meant more than you know.
While we know that moving closer to family was the right thing to do, and that we will all continue to serve God wherever we are, it has not made leaving you any easier. It has been a privilege to serve our Lord alongside such wonderful people for the past 6 1/2 years. As Don and I embark on this new chapter of our lives, we carry the memories of our time together always.
Once again, thank you for your generosity, kindness, and support. We look forward to seeing you when we visit Wilmington. Until then, blessings for the journey.
Cheryl and Don Brainard
