A Staff Announcement from The Rector
Dear Parish Family,
I write to share with you news of an important transition happening here at St. James. John Sullivan, who has been our Director of Music and Organist for 14 years, is retiring from his position. His last Sunday with us will be June 30th.
While offering his notable skills as a musician and choirmaster over these many years, John has consistently imbued his program with kindness, flexibility, and a welcoming nature and spirit. Beyond Sunday mornings, he has been present in the midst of countless weddings, baptisms, and celebrations of life, bringing the integral and sacred value of music to our greater worship together.
John's work with our St. James Youth at Faith at 5, Sunday Evening Worship, Happening, and most recently at Glory Ridge has been such a blessing to the young people of our parish family.
In addition, he has been an invaluable member of our staff. We will all miss both his talent and his good heart.
More information will follow on how to help celebrate the tenure of John Sullivan as Director of Music and Organist. We wish him the very best as he moves into this new and much-deserved season of retirement.
Please know, as always, that I am available and my door is open for any conversation about any aspect of our life together as a parish community.
Faithfully,
The Rev. C. Phillip Craig, Jr.
