Office Ministry: Thanking Rosa Champney
36 years ago, the Champney family moved to Wilmington from Annapolis. They were looking for a place that reminded them of the love of their home church in Maryland. Billie Holland was a neighbor and Jane Martin made sure they knew they were welcome! After a few Sundays of worship and a visit from then Rector, the Rev. Bob Cook, the Champneys joined the St.James Parish Family.
Rosa joined the Office Ministry after an invitation from Judy Flickers. Rosa had recently left the classroom after several years as an art teacher at the day school. Rosa also participated in the Altar guild but when she went back to work at St. John's the flexibility the Office Ministry affords fit her availability best! Rosa enjoys getting to know the people of St. James Parish through her work in the office, especially the clergy!
