Westminster Abbey Comes to Wilmington
Our parish family had the distinct pleasure of hearing from The Rev. Dr. James Hawkey, Canon Theologian of Westminster Abbey and Mr. Martin Castledine, the Abbey’s Dean’s Verger. In addition to a Verger Ministry Workshop, a special presentation on the Anglican Communion with our own retired Bishop, Henry Parsley, and a sermon, our guests shared their unique experiences as clergy and staff in a Royal Peculiar and in one of the world’s most highly recognized houses of Christian worship. If you were unable to participate, we invite you to enjoy a replay of "An Evening with Westminster Abbey" to get a taste of our wonderful time together.
We take a moment to thank our St. James Speaker Series Committee for organizing and facilitating this special gathering. The Speaker Series was established with the mission of broadening the hearts and minds of our parish family and the greater community; deepening the common faith that we hold while seeking to live out our mission as a church, “to welcome all to grow in love of God and neighbor”.
