Hair Love, is an illustrated children’s book and New York Times bestseller that came out in 2019. The story is about a young girl named Zuri who wakes up one morning and knows she needs an exceptional hairstyle for a special day. She goes to her Dad for help and after trial and error he manages to pull off a beautiful hairstyle that makes them both feel proud. This story emphasizes the sweet relationship of a Daddy and daughter while sharing many beautiful hairstyles of natural African American hair. It quickly has become a favorite book in our house and is often requested by our 5-year-old daughter.
